Waubonsee Community College Field TripViaje de campo de Waubonsee Community College

On November 29th, the EAHS Counseling Department had another opportunity to bring close to 30 students from the Class of 2023 to explore Waubonsee Community College. This was the second such opportunity as the Counseling Department coordinated an earlier trip this past October. Class of 2023 students had the opportunity to tour campus and view a presentation on what Waubonsee Community College has to offer our students.

Stephanie Carreno, Development Manager at Waubonsee Community College, gave a presentation on the Waubonsee Community Foundation Scholarship. The Waubonsee Community Foundation Scholarship is a single scholarship application which evaluates students for over 100 potential scholarship awards. She encouraged all students who are interested in attending Waubonsee Community College to apply for this scholarship as it is a great opportunity to make college affordable. Students who require assistance applying to Waubonsee Community College or filing the Waubonsee Community Foundation Scholarship are encouraged to reach out to their counselor or visit the Tomcat College and Career Center during their lunch period.

In order to continue serving the needs of our students, the EAHS Counseling Department, in collaboration with Waubonsee Community College, are hoping to offer a couple trips during the Spring semester to assist prospective students with pre-registration and possible placement testing. More information will be coming soon.

El 29 de noviembre, el departamento de asesoramiento de EAHS tuvo otra oportunidad de traer cerca de 30 estudiantes de la clase de 2023 para explorar Waubonsee Community College. Esta fue la segunda oportunidad como el departamento de asesoramiento coordinó un viaje anterior en octubre pasado.
