District 131 Red and Black event set for August 12District 131 Red and Black event set for August 12

District 131 faculty and staff will convene at East High for the District’s annual Red and Black event on Monday, August 12. The event will begin at 8:15 a.m. and will be followed by a Health Fair for district employees, from approximately 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. in the high school’s atrium. Buses will be on hand at 11:30 a.m. to take staff back to their buildings. 

The Red and Black event is the district’s traditional, celebratory event where all staff gather before the start of the school year. The event will be held in the Hawks Auditorium at East Aurora High School, 500 Tomcat Lane, Aurora.

A free continental breakfast will be available for staff in the high school cafeteria from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m.

Among the highlights of the celebration will be staff recognition, a welcome back message from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Norrell, a staff summer-in-review presentation, and much more.
